2020 is a RICE CAMPAIGN to support CYF to buy 20 sacks of rice by 20 different individual. CYF needs 20 sacks of 30 kilo rice every month to feed 36 children supported by the organization. With the inflation and non stop rise in ration prices it has been very difficult to maintain the ration quota. Thus we have recently introduced 2020 campaign where we want an individual to buy one sack of rice every month for 12 months. Thus we are in need of people every month who want to buy sack every month or for 3 months or for an entire year.

Minnesota Rotary Club Visits CYF

Minnesota Rotary Club visited CYF on March 10 and 11th 2014. All participants are active Rotarians who believe in “service above self” and were US Nationals above 55 years old. The Rotarians were involved in painting our new school’s class rooms and a session of story telling. The Rotarians helped the children specially the girls by getting a year’s supply of sanitary napkins , text copies, sports materials and school bags for the children.

American School of Kuwait Visits CYF

From the American school of Kuwait, 16 students visited Life Vision Academy in end of Februray 2014 for a 3 day intensive volunteering experience where the 16 students worked from 9am to 4pm in Bode Bhaktapur. The students helped clean and paint the newly shifted schools outer walls . The students also helped paint 3 classrooms and corridors of the main building.

Hong Kong Rotary Club Visits CYF

Young Rotarians from Hongkong visited CYF in February for a one day volunteering experience. 20 students from the Rotary helped paint the main school building’s walls and also helped the LVA children learn new games.

Outdoor Kitchen and Dining Construction

CYF shifted to newly rented premises in October 2013 and we had to construct a outdoor kitchen and dining due to lack of space. We used glass bottles as the flooring for the kitchen to save cost and also make children aware on recycling and reusing. We were able to construct the kitchen and dining hall with the help from our friends from Nepal and France.
